Help Please DFXtreme (Enumerating session)

I would like to know why when I go into some online server, some presents a certain error (Enumerating session) because of this?
Sometimes it does not and sometimes it does not always.
Someone can tell me why this happens, want to know to solve once and for all, this annoying mistake.

This usually happens because the person hosting the game hasn't opened the correct ports on their firewall(s). This is detailed here: http://novalogic.com/router.asp

Since many modems provided by internet service providers include firewalls built in, you may also need to check to ensure that the ports are open on it as well. This isn't mentioned in the above support article since it was written during a time when this was not common.

So, for DF:X you will likely need to open the ports 32768/udp, 49152/udp, and 64206/udp on the following:

1) Your computer (Windows Firewall)
2) Your wireless router
3) Your modem (if it has a firewall built in)

NOTE: This only applies to those hosting a server. If you are trying to JOIN a server, don't do this as it won't help you.

are you running WIN10 OS ?

there is a reset function you can do .
go to run, winsock, let it run and it will allow novalogic to run .. 

WIN7
netsh winsock reset is a command in windows to recover the computer from any socket errors which arise when you download some unknown file, or due to some malicious script on the computer. Winsock settings contain your computer's configuration for Internet connectivity.

WIN10

Windows 10 has a command line utility called Netsh (Network Shell) that allows you to display and modify the network configuration of your computer. The most common use of Netsh is to reset the TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol) stack back to default, or modify.

pxp wingnut: need help getting constant 3234 error codes,   and badly need to set up a server, large maps, no time limits and  no  bampots :) please assist ?  tried the follwing port numbers 32768 and 65535,  er   but  my router  has  two options for extrenal and internal,  sadly that cofnuses the  faq out of me,    HELP !

first !!!!!!!!!!!
before you try to configure the router set up your game configure.
In the game.cfg there are standard ports.  32768.  Some routers have problems dealing with using the same 
port number when hosting and playing from.

Hence the no connect with your local machine.

There is 5 numbers that all need to be changed to match the same one.

Try adjusting your playing pc to something like 32780.  Remember all 5 of the numbers matching below must 
be the same or you can't connect to novalogic or you may bet  a connection error.  If this doesnt work and
you want to go back all you have to do is delete the game.cfg and start the game up.  It will re create 
the game.cfg to default settings.

This should fix the routing issue and allow you to connect to your server.  


Once this is done you now need to set up your router, you must log into the modem, set up your bridge (interface whatever) to the router, once bridge bridge the route to the modem now and only now can you set up the router for port forwarding..

this allow player who inter the lounge through you hosting (computer in your closet)
to have data sent back and forth and this is what bridging and port forwarding does to let player use or play your and be my competitor .

without this setup you can not host .. period!

second I dont understand how I can help.

      A- I do not know where your at or what kind of modem you have !
      B- I do not know you username nor password to your modem nor your router.
      C- if you have not setup these up then default is
user name is   ADMIN or admin
password is    admin or ADMIN
      D-if you have set up a user name and password if I was you i would. 
      E- most of the newer equipment have the bridge built in side,  I do not know because I haven't look at your shit, or know what kind of golly you have.
      F- so again I do understand how I can help I will suggest you call support of whom ever golly you are using ...(like ma bell, jones crappy internet, or this DNS sucks.
     G-ther is help and people who will remote login and do it for you .. again contact your provider support team !!!!
     H- I no longer do remotes... 

I have given you all you need to get it done . but do it for you .
