That was the version I was trying with !  So seems its different for everyone.

SO MOD ALPHA is not working, SO MOD BETA  is working, also with a bit of patience after login till lag fades away.

neither working here - everytime i try to join a host it crashes

Someone who doesn't know jack gave me a useless answer. I hate people on the internet who don't have the solution to a problem and waste your time with BS answers!!

Maybe it worked for them. It's worth sharing your experiences.
There's two solutions that I can see on the forums, both have worked for me.

I have tried all the methods listed on here in the jo and dfx sections plus nova hq forums- it seems to be easy for some people and impossible for others

The few players that are ingame come from all over the place, US/CAN/EU. So It's not to do with players locations. Luck of the draw I guess.

the music and cursor go ok..but green balls do not appear

Same for me the green balls never show up...
