UPDATE.EXE is only read, put it on read/write.

Place it on your desk top / find to novalogic folder in program files open Delta force Xtreme 2 folder / find update its the green one, delete it / place new update in that folder (DFX2)/ run update from this file, once it in the folder double click on it it should run and update . . .

 

This is how i do it . . Im sure there are other ways . .but mine works !!!!!!!!!!!

I got it to work, had to download the new one from downloads.

Wingnut is right.  But also downloading the latest version does the same thing ;-)

Just returning to Nova after a 3 year hiatus. Just bought DFX II online version. The updater ( new version listed here ) runs in an infinite loop, downloads, finishes, downloads again, finishes, etc etc etc.  Whats the fix for that? It doesnt seem to recognize its done its thing.

there is link to fixed update.exe, u need put it in your game folder and run....
if good remember when its looping u need close it, deleted REVUPDAT.exe and start again...

But if u have digital version from Nova Store u DONT need updated it.

ive downloaded the latest update exe file and after deleting old 1 replaced it with the new 1 and still the damn thing wont update.........keeps going to 30 seconds then says connot connect to server.

If you have the downloaded version do not update it.

If you have the CD version and the game is in your NW2 account then you can download a fresh digital download which does not need updating here...

Forget about the update.

Read the instructions and they will tell you that if the update doesn't work (a given now) then you download the full digital version (about 1GB) and use your NW2 login to activate it.

Question:Update seems to loop and not update

Answer:You must update your game from an account with write access to the game folder. You should try updating from the computer's admin account.You can also manually replace the update program with the latest located here.

If you wish to do a full manual update of the game, download the latest installer and "repair" your install to the latest version.

The latest full installer is located here (note: the download can take awhile)

After downloading, just run the program "repair" the installation. This will bring you to the latest version
