Hi guys,

I have managed to host a JO server on my PC and others off the net can join in fine, but another PC on my network trys to join it gets enumerating session.

Both PC's have their own legit cd keys.

When I host a LAN session it can join fine.

Why????? very frustrating as I want to play with my son and my mates.

Right click the server icon, properties,  and change the target to this:
"C:Program FilesNovaLogicJoint Operations Typhoon RisingJointops.exe"  /serveonly

If you still get enumerating session, adjust your game ports in game.cfg.

well, that does fully suck hairy cabbage mushrooms mate, I carn't offer you two too much help then with Joint Ops on a win 7 system ol' boy.   Have you blokes tried running it in XP mode yet?

The Win 7 system i do have, i only run BF3, ArmA 2 OA and Duke Nukem on. For the life of me i just carn't seem to justify loading JO on to it. It just seems like a waist of HDD space.

I guess you could always email nova support for help.

In the game.cfg there are standard ports.  32768.  Some routers have problems dealing with using the same port number when hosting and playing from.

Hence the no connect with your local machine.

There is 5 numbers that all need to be changed to match the same one.

Try adjusting your playing pc to something like 32780.  Remember all 5 of the numbers matching below must be the same or you can't connect to novalogic or you may bet  a connection error.  If this doesnt work and you want to go back all you have to do is delete the game.cfg and start the game up.  It will re create the game.cfg to default settings.

mpnovaworldportmin = "32768"
mpnovaworldportmax = "65535"
mpnovaworldportdelta = "1"
mpnovaworldportrandom = "0"
mpnovaworldlanenumsessionportmin = "32768"
mpnovaworldlanenumsessionportmax = "65535"
mpnovaworldlanenumsessionportdelta = "1"
mplanserverportmin = "32768"
mplanserverportmax = "32787"
mplanserverportdelta = "1"
mplanclientportmin = "32768"
mplanclientportmax = "65535"
mplanclientportdelta = "1"
mplanclientportrandom = "0"
mplanservertojoinportmin = "32768"
mplanservertojoinportmax = "32787"

This should fix the routing issue and allow you to connect to your server.  Has nothing to do with windows 7 as this problem would duplicated on xp.

add to this:

the server machine's forwarded ports in your router must be able to receive the port you change in the "play" computers game.cfg

ex: if you do change the min port numbers to 32780, the server computer's forwarded ports must include 32780.

All not needed just set the randomports to 1.

i.o.w.
mpnovaworldportrandom = "1"
mplanclientportrandom = "1"

This will allow the negotiation of ports to use, The protocol does the rest.

FSK-Wolf.

Welcome to your own NightmareZZZZzzzz

Just wanted to mention that that only works for the machine you want to play on and not the server.   On the server you are hosting with if it uses random ports and you have firewalls installed on the machine and router you will run into not knowing what port you are using.

Now if you DMZ that server and have no firewall running then it isn't an issue ;-)

Forward Range    32768 - 32787   IP 192.168.100    UDP
Forward Range    32768 - 32787   IP 192.168.101    UDP
Forward Range    32768 - 32787   IP 192.168.102    UDP

Etc...

Is this the way to set the Port Triggering with 3 machines in the network?
Each machine is assigned a separate IP in the router?
Will it work with the Host machine set as 192.168.100?

or would you have to set only the Host machine in the first entry only?
