I bought DF Xtreme 2 yesterday and I have this problem when I try to activate it.
I launch the game normally, and when in the menu I press the button "Activate", the game says "Connecting to Novaworld", and nothing more happen, just it keeps me saying that. I've already put the CD-key in "My account --> Settings --> My Produc Keys". My PC supports this game and the game is updated to lastest version v1.7.5.7. I have Windows 7 64bits.
I would appreciate your help.

Generally two things cause this problem.

One is the game.cfg has an error in it.

Two a firewall is blocking your game from connecting to nova.

First and easiest one is.  Go to your game folder.  Delete game.cfg and start the game back up.

DFX2 will auto create the game.cfg file.

The second option you may need to remove the block on dfx2.exe.

Hope this helps without really looking inside your pc it could be hard to tell why it is not connecting to novaworld.

Yes, yes, yes . . . . .  all is true.

Not sure what Internet security you are using. but for sure go in your setting in you INTERNET security and allow either, Novalogic or DFX2.  for me it's different as I have 5 novalogic game in my folder. so you may need to set setting to allow, not auto !!

also be sure to run as Administrator when login . .

right click DFX2 icon, left click run as administrator.

and you should be good to go..

DFB SUCKS !!!

If it all burn to the ground right now and they were the only thing left !!

I still would not go there .. !!

I just got the game and end up having the same problem BUT:
I don't have win7 and my XP is running with firewall off.

Router fw should not cause any problem because it has not done that ever before.
Still. Do anyone can tell me the ports I would have to open for the connection?

Edit: Nevermind. Got it. Port 49152 on the router.
